Don't Spend Too Much Time Trying to Untangle the Metaphor

Everyone knows that religious institutions are completely exempt from the secular legal system -- courts can't touch them, nor meter maids, housing inspectors, or policemen.

No, just declare yourself a place of worship and you can do any damn thing you please, because, hey, "separation of church and state," right?
