Remember "Vote for the Crook. It's Important"?

R.J. Matson, 5/6/11:
It's so cute when people don't understand how a representative democracy works.

The only "will of the voters" than can actually be determined is their choice of the politicians they actually voted into office -- and, so, logically, those politicians assume that the voters agreed with their positions and wanted them to do whatever they plan to do.

Because, if the voters didn't want that, they'd have voted for somebody else, wouldn't they?
